11:00 AM – 3:00 PM Vail Family Fun Fest: A Perfect activity for the whole family. Come to Lionshead Mall/Vail Square at Arrabelle for a carnival style day filled with games, music, food and activities such as caricature drawings, face painting and a bouncy house.

6:00 PM Bravo! Vail: Dallas Symphony Orchestra Ellis Hall: Ray Charles, Motown & Beyond: Come to Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater for a night of music and fun. “Legendary performer, vocalist, and “Ambassador of Soul” Ellis Hall makes his Bravo! Vail debut for a thrilling performance of the greatest R&B hits. Hall will provide the searing vocals to the unique orchestral arrangements, created and conducted by Grammy Award-winner Jeff Tyzik.”

Hadelich Plays Bruch: Come to Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater for a night of music and fun. “Augustin Hadelich only recently passed 30, yet already his passionate performances have won him global recognition. He returns to Bravo! for Bruch’s treasured Violin Concerto, which will be followed by Brahms’s exquisite Symphony No. 1.”

5:00- 10:30 pm Avon’s Salute to the USA. We invite you to take part in the family friendly festivities going on throughout the park with face painters, fire jugglers, stilt walkers, balloon sculptors, magicians, and so much more!  Bring your blanket and enjoy festival style food favorites from fresh squeezed lemonade and funnel cakes to mini-donuts and roasted ears of corn.  Relax and get ready for the most amazing fireworks display the State of Colorado has to offer – 10,000 shells explode in a pyrotechnic extravaganza of dazzling color and sound.  You won’t want to miss this hallmark event – Salute to the USA will quickly become a tradition in your family!

Theme: The Spirit of America: Watch our parade that starts in Gold Peak and runs all the way through the town to Lionshead. This is one of the most popular 4th of July events in Vail and tons of all-American fun for the whole family.

Vail: Chamber Music: Hadelich, McDermott, & the Dallas Symphony: Come to the Donovan Pavilion for a night of music and fun. “Augustin Hadelich performs one of Ysaÿe’s exquisite Bach-inspired solo sonatas. Hadelich and Dallas Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster Alexander Kerr join forces for Prokofiev’s sardonic two-violin work. Shostakovich’s sparkling Concerto is a playful romp between the piano and Dallas’ brilliant Ryan Anthony.”
