Every Tuesday evening throughout the summer enjoy free concerts with genres ranging from rock to country at the Gerald R Ford Amphitheater.

One of the Country’s top five iconic grassroots outdoor volleyball tournaments, and the largest of all of the Rocky Mountain Region beach Volleyball Tournaments. Come enjoy the action at Ford Park and various locations around the Vail Valley.

La Sportiva Summer Solstice Trail Run
An 18yr old tradition, the La Sportiva Summer Solstice Trail Run has become an iconic challenge, taking runners up trails and over mountain roads, through forests and over rivers, all through the beautiful town of Vail. Including a free kids fun run, a 5k trail run and a 10k trail run, there is something for the whole family to get involved in. Live music and lunch will also be hosted after the event.

This event features amazing unlimited wine & craft beer tastings, fun live music, vendors and tons of fantastic food! The 5th annual Reds, Whites and Brews festival at Nottingham Park and Pavilion is open to all ages and a great way to celebrate a beautiful summer in Avon.

Join a Naturalist for an educational hike through the forest on top of Vail Mountain in Lionshead. Learn about summer ecology and animal adaptations as you take in the majestic mountain views. Most ages and abilities, FREE.
Hikes are available every day, not just Saturdays! Hikes run daily at the Nature Discovery Center at Adventure Ridge from 11:00am-12:00pm, 2:00pm-3:00pm daily and Evening Nature Hikes run Thursday-Saturday from 7:00pm-8:00pm. A valid ski pass or scenic gondola ticket ($34) is required to ride the gondola.
Every Sunday, June 19- October 02: from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm
Returning for it’s 11th year, spend your summer Sundays at the largest farmer’s market in Colorado. Enjoy strolling down East Meadow Drive in Vail Village exploring the 135 tents and enjoying taste treats straight from our own backyard. Live music from the Vail Jazz Festival.

Vail Arts Festival is a three-day celebration of over 80 artists showcasing digital art, drawing, fiber, glass, graphics and print making, metal works, wood, mixed media, ceramics, paintings, photography, sculpture, jewelry, and fashion all the while surrounded by the beauty and fresh air of Vail, CO. 31 years of art and beauty.

See Beaver Creek Village come alive with a free carnival style festival every Saturday afternoon. Get your caricature drawn, face painted and play fun carnival style lawn games or just relax and enjoy the live music and scrumptious food!

Vail is the only festival in North America to host four of the greatest classical orchestras in a single season. This year, the program includes: London’s Academy of the St Martin in the Fields (June 23-26), Dallas Symphony Orchestra (June 29- July 6), the Philadelphia Orchestra (July 8-16), and the New York Philharmonic (July 22-29).

Ride the Eagle Bahn Gondola from Lionshead to experience this Vail tradition, a 10,000ft family fun party to celebrate Friday afternoons in the summer sun. Enjoy great food, beverages, free lawn games and live music starting at 5pm every Friday.

Presented by the town of Eagle and Bonfire Brewing, enjoy free concerts every Thursday evening starting at 6:30 in the Eagle Town Park. Bring your picnic basket and spend the evening listening to the free music and a fun host of kids’ activities.

The Vail Summer Bluegrass Series is four free live bluegrass concerts. Each individual concert boasts national-level, award-winning talent and have proven to draw crowds from the Vail region, as well as visiting guests from around the world. To support our headlining talent, we have made it a priority to feature local and regional bands as well. In addition to music at the Arrabelle in Lionshead, the Vail Summer Bluegrass Series has partnered with Eco Products (cup donations) and Rock the Earth in an effort to keep our planet front and center.

Two German soccer teams (Bundesliga) and one Mexican team will hold summer training camps in Vail and Colorado Springs for one week. Events will include pre-season training camps, youth soccer camp, coaching clinics, an All-Star game and friendly games between the international pro teams and our local pro teams. Concluding these events will be the first ever Colorado Cup played at Sports Authority Stadium at Mile high where all 4 professional teams will compete for the Cup.

Enjoy highflying aerialists, acrobats, contortionists, dancers, jugglers, and strong men all set to classical masterpieces. Back by popular demand, “Cirque de la Symphonie” allows audiences to experience the magic of Cirque de Soleil right inour backyard.
Triple Bypass Bicycle Tour
The premier cycling event for the most DARING of cyclists! This heart-pounding two-day ride passes through the beautiful Rocky Mountain scenery with over 10,000 ft in elevation gain. On Saturday July 9th, riders start in Evergreen and head west over Juniper Pass, Loveland Pass, and Vail Pass, concluding in Avon. Then Sunday the 10th, rider’s head back the other way! This years 9th annual BecTi Triathlon will be held as a Triathlon, 5k walk/run and a kid’s Duathlon. There is something for the whole family! Held at Nottingham lake and park, this is a perfect venue for beginners to experience the thrill of an open-water swimming Triathlon and great for a fun, high energy family day. All proceeds from the event go to benefitting the Vail Valley Charitable Fund.

Join us in Vail, Colorado from July 30 through August 13 for the 28th season of the Vail International Dance Festival and the 10th anniversary of Damian Woetzel as Artistic Director. We also welcome American Ballet Theatre star Isabella Boylston as the 2016 Artist-In-Residence. The Festival is a two-week celebration of exceptional artistry taking place in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
The Kids Adventure Games offers kids, ages 6-14, the chance of a lifetime to experience the trill of adventure racing. This nature inspired obstacle course takes kids through zip-lines, a Tarzan rope swing, hiking, mountain biking, cargo nets, river tubing, mud pits and a giant Slip-n-Slide. The intent is to challenge kids and instill in them problem solving, team work, sportsmanship and of course fun!
