So Why is Vail Awesome in June?
What makes June so awesome?
Weather: : June weather in Vail is sunny and warm during the day and cool at night.
The flowers and trees are blooming and the scent of fresh evergreen, lilac and cool mountain air is almost as sweet as the smell of outdoor bar-b-que.
No need for air conditioning, just open the hotel windows and let the fragrant breeze drift through the room, sparking up freshness as you relax or sleep.
The natural quiet of the wilderness surrounding Vail Mountain Lodge is a June perk, as is enjoying the soothing sounds of nearby Gore Creek, while the breeze dances over your skin and the sun brightens your soul.
Hiking and biking are in full swing around Vail in June. Most of the mountain snow has melted making hiking and biking trails dry. The avid sportsman who hikes the higher peaks might encounter snow on top but exploring Vail Mountain is possible and fantastic.
Businesses and homeowners have completed their landscaping turning Vail Village and the surrounding neighborhoods into a massive garden. Walking or riding your bike along the paths gives you a bee’s eye view of everything floral.
One of the best amenities of Vail Mountain Lodge is its location along Gore Creek, providing quick access to the creekside walking paths. The paths are surrounded by evergreens and aspens, shading you from the sun or opening up for a little sun-kissed warmth. Benches situated along Gore Creek are comfortable resting places in this serene environment.
The Gore Creek paths lead to the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, a wonderland filled with flowers, waterfalls, trees and plants – the perfect place for reflection, a nap and reading a book.
Should we experience a brief summer shower, our spa and club can keep you active or relaxed. Take one of over 60 fitness classes, enjoy a spa treatment (try the new Magnesium Wellness massage) or relax in one of the hot tubs with views of the river and Vail Mountain.
You’ll find a bowling alley, the Colorado Ski & Snowboard Museum and a movie theater within walking distance of Vail Mountain Lodge. The bowling alley is a restaurant & bar called Bol located in Solaris, while the theater, called Cinebistro, includes dinner options along with the movie, as well as really comfortable chairs. They serve drinks, too, if you’re inclined to watch The Avengers with a martini in hand!
June is considered shoulder season and there are still amazing specials at hotels, restaurants, shops and bars until July 1, 2017. More value for you dollars in June.
Vail Mountain Lodge has two lodging specials:
